Program Overview


While the University embraces digital learning and emerging technologies, this School is rooted firmly in the physical world — the places where steel is shaped, structures rise, systems are repaired, and communities are sustained through skilled, ethical work.

Its mission is to equip learners with practical trade skills, systems awareness, and ethical professionalism — empowering them to build, repair, and maintain the physical foundations that support homes, businesses, and communities.

This School exists to affirm a simple truth: nothing digital exists without something physical to support it.

This School follows a hybrid, applied approach that respects a plain fact: trades are learned by doing, not memorizing.

Free online theory modules cover safety protocols, materials science, systems concepts, and blueprint literacy. Guided practical projects put you on real-world tasks and simulated jobs with documented hands-on work. Systems integration ties the craft to the business around it.

Theory and safety instruction here does not substitute for the licensing, apprenticeship, or permitting your jurisdiction requires for regulated trade work.

Every 101 course is free and open to anyone. 200-level tracks are professor-guided and credential-eligible. The catalogue below is the founding slate — courses go live as their Founding Professors are seated.

Jobsite Safety & Professional Conduct — the module every other course requires. Free / open access.
WELD 101
Introduction to Welding — processes, materials, equipment, and safe setup. Free / open access.
BLD 101
Blueprint Literacy — reading plans, symbols, and specifications. Free / open access.
SYS 101
How Buildings Work — electrical, plumbing, and HVAC as one connected system. Free / open access.
WELD 210
Applied Welding Practicum — documented hands-on work reviewed by a professor. Credential-eligible. 200-level.
TRD 220
From Tradesman to Business Owner — bidding, scheduling, and running the books. 200-level.
