Overview

Program Overview

No get-rich-quick schemes. No hype. No illusions that money is magic. The School of Financial Independence & Wealth Building teaches only proven, patient strategies grounded in mathematics, behavior, and time.

This is the School for disciplined builders of freedom and generational stability — people who would rather own their calendar in twenty years than look wealthy this year.

We teach the arithmetic, and we teach the psychology, because the second one is what actually breaks people.

Academic Scope

What You Will Study

Personal Finance Foundations

Budgeting that survives contact with real life, emergency funds, and getting out of debt.

Understanding Investing

Index funds, risk, diversification, fees, and why most active strategies underperform.

The FIRE Framework

Savings rate, the 4% rule, coast and barista variants, and honest math on your timeline.

Credit, Debt & Interest

How interest works for you and against you — and how to stop paying rent on your own past.

Taxes & Tax-Advantaged Accounts

Retirement vehicles, brackets, and the legal levers most people never learn exist.

Behavior & Money Psychology

Lifestyle creep, panic selling, comparison, and the discipline that makes the math work.

Learning Model

How This School Teaches

Learning here is deliberately slow and cumulative. Free 101 modules cover the fundamentals in plain language, with worksheets you fill in using your own numbers.

200-level tracks are professor-guided, with assignments that produce an actual plan: a budget that holds, an investment policy you wrote and understand, and a timeline you can defend.

Hope Meta University does not provide personalized financial advice. Instruction is educational; decisions and their consequences remain yours.

Outcomes

Where It Takes You

  • A written plan instead of a vague intention.
  • Debt with an end date and a strategy to reach it.
  • Investing literacy that makes you very hard to sell a bad product to.
  • A real FI number calculated from your own spending, not a magazine's.
  • Generational stability — knowledge you can hand to your kids.
